Dog of the Year 2025
Both Magnus and Lenná won the Dog of the Year 2025 award!
In the Hungarian Bernese Mountain Dog Club’s 2024 “Dog of the Year” points competition, dogs owned by or bred by Jacks and Bears won in five different categories. Unfortunately, our winning veterans from that year are no longer with us, so we even questioned whether to enter any dogs for the 2025 competition.
In the end, we decided to enter both Magnus and Lenná, as they achieved such outstanding results throughout the year that we definitely wanted to highlight once more.
In 2025, Magnus won the Club Show of the Hungarian Bernese Mountain Dog Club, earned reserve Best in Show title twice at major international shows, and was awarded Best of Breed at more than twenty different shows during the year.
Lenná had an even stronger year, highlighted by the 2025 FCI World Dog Show in Helsinki: there, she won the Intermediate Class and went on to beat the winners of the Open and Youth Classes to be awarded the CC Bitch title.
So we entered them, and the club awarded both of them the Dog of the Year 2025 title!
Jacks and Bears the One and Only “Magnus” – Dog of the Year 2025! (Hungarian Bernese Mountain Dog Club, Champion Male)
Jacks and Bears Checkmate “Lenná” – Dog of the Year 2025! (Hungarian Bernese Mountain Dog Club, Intermediate Female)
We are extremely proud of the achievements of these two home-bred dogs!
Looking at our planned show schedule for 2026, as well as our upcoming litter plans, we likely won’t be entering for this award in the coming years. At the same time, we are incredibly grateful to the Hungarian Bernese Mountain Dog Club for all the recognition over the past years!
